The Spanish Dual Immersion program at Whittier Elementary School currently serves grade K-5 and will expand to K-6 in the 2021/22 school year. In grades 4-6, Spanish will be delivered through Science and History-Social Science. For two years, the Spanish dual immersion teachers at Whittier Elementary have piloted the McGraw Hill History-Social Science curriculum in the upper grades. Through an evaluation process with teacher involvement, this program has been deemed the best fit for our students and the dual instructional program.
