The Patient Care pathway combines academic and hands-on learning to inspire students to pursue a full range of career opportunities in the Health Science and Medical Technology industry sector. Students learn medical terms and abbreviations, disease processes and common disorders, body systems, standard precautions, and ethical and legal responsibilities of a healthcare worker.  Students will have the opportunity to earn an American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers Card (CPR) and practice skills using industry-standard equipment.
