Career Technical Education Video

From elementary, with coding, robotics, and engineering opportunities, to middle school with
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and high school with nine Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. Newport-Mesa Unified School District’s (NMUSD) commitment and focus is to provide access to programs that directly prepare students for college and career success! Including industry-leading fields such as health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality and management, and more.

The following four-minute video provides an overview of how NMUSD pathways integrate core academic knowledge with technical knowledge and skill in a collaborative, hands-on, project-based environment and encompass work-based learning opportunities with industry experts, many of which lead to certification programs and job hiring directly from high school.

Note: Some of the background footage used in this video was filmed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Newport-Mesa values local partnerships with business and industry. Collaboration is vital in preparing students, and the future workforce, with the required skills and knowledge for high-wage careers.
