Benefits Management has the responsibility to coordinate and administer district-wide health benefit programs that include employee medical, dental, life and vision as well as several optional benefit programs. Annually, during the open enrollment period and throughout the year, Benefits Management staff counsels and assists employees with personal benefit choices. The department also implements programs to encourage wellness and fitness.
Benefits Management has the responsibility of the Workers’ Compensation Program. When an employee reports an industrial injury or illness, Benefits Management staff investigates the injury claim and monitors the claim throughout the workers’ compensation system.
