Super Star Award Nomination Form
In January of 2000, the Newport-Mesa Unified School District implemented the PRIDE employee recognition program (Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence). The Super-Star Awards program evolved from input by members of the community, District employees and from the Board of Education's original PRIDE program. The Super-Star program recognizes employees who go far beyond the call of duty, doing more than others expect. This is what excellence is all about. It comes from striving, maintaining the highest standards, paying attention to the smallest detail, and going the extra mile. Excellence means caring -- it means making effort to do more. Celebrating excellence is an important part of the Board of Education's recognition of the contribution made by the employees of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District.
